About Us

In 2004, Garvin Boward Beitko Engineering, Inc., was founded in the Pittsburgh area as Garvin Boward Engineering, Inc., by R. Gary Garvin, P.E., and Joseph F. Boward, P.E. Since its inception, the firm has grown considerably: adding staff, expanding services, opening a branch office in Somerset, PA, and providing consulting professional engineering and environmental services on hundreds of projects for a variety of clients. In 2008, Douglas A. Beitko, P.E., a highly-respected and renowned engineer, joined the firm as vice president and principal engineer.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a satellite office in Somerset, PA, Garvin Boward Beitko Engineering, Inc., provides consulting geotechnical, forensic, environmental, and materials science engineering services. Garvin Boward Beitko maintains a goal of serving a wide range of discriminating clients, including both public and private sectors, on projects of all sizes. We pride ourselves in being able to rapidly respond to evolving client needs and remaining on the cutting edge of geotechnical engineering technology.

Our engineers are professionally licensed to offer engineering services in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland. Our senior staff members have obtained higher degree educational merit and accreditation through completion of Masters Programs and other continuing education and training opportunities.
